I grew up in a two-parent home. I was adopted by two wonderful people who I am blessed to call my parents to this day. They raised me in church and worked hard to teach me good principles to carry with me through life. When we found out I was pregnant with no support from my son's father, adoption seemed the best option. I had no education, no job to support myself and was currently working through depression and past traumas. I went to a maternity home where I began school and looked into adopting my baby out when he was born.
While in this home, I realize I’m called to parent. Over the last 4 years with the help of family and friends, I have worked and been able to provide a home for me and my son, who is now almost 4 years old. I am slowly making my way through school and it is my goal to get my degree. Education has become important to me and I want my son to know he can work hard and become whatever it is he wants to be in life. I am so grateful and humbled to receive this gift to my son. I look forward to seeing who he grows up to be. I thank the Lord every day for people who have walked this path with us. Thank you One Sparrow taking part in my son's journey. Knowing he has security in his education gives me peace and I am so thankful for this gift that One Sparrow has given us. God bless you!
